Terrace Stay is an independent informational guide. It gathers descriptive notes on hospitality properties in Canada so a careful reader can understand setting, character and surroundings before deciding whether to look further.
It is not a booking desk. There is no search that pretends to query rooms, no calendar, no basket and no language that promises a stay can be secured here. If a sentence sounds transactional, it does not belong on these pages.
It is also not a ranking engine. Catalog pages group properties by theme or editorial attention; they do not score them against one another or declare a winner. Discovery here means orientation, not persuasion.
When you want details that change often — policies, current facilities, anything resembling availability — you leave this site through the listing link on a property’s own card. That handoff is the design, not a gap.

Terrace Stay is published as a free-standing editorial project. It does not own, operate or manage any hotel, resort or casino named in its pages, and it holds no commercial agreement that would let a property steer how it is described.
Names and marks appear so you can recognise the place being discussed. They remain the property of their respective owners. Their presence here is descriptive, not a claim of partnership, sponsorship or endorsement in either direction.
Independence also means we do not invent guest voices for named businesses. The only testimonials you will find on this site speak about the guide itself — its clarity and structure — never about a stay at a particular property.
If something in an entry looks wrong or out of date, the contact page exists so you can tell us. Corrections go through editorial review; they are not a back channel for promotional language.

Each property entry follows the same quiet pattern: a photograph, the official name, city and province, a short description grounded in supplied facts, and a single outbound path to the official listing.
Descriptions stay inside what we know — category, star class, setting tags and location. We do not invent restaurant names, room counts, awards or opening years. If a detail was not supplied, it does not appear.
Surroundings matter as much as buildings. Waterfront, countryside and mountain tags shape how we write about place, because landscape often explains the feel of a stay more clearly than a list of indoor features.
